Hi. I’m Alice.

I like to blog about lots of things that tweak my curiosity. I’m a mum, and a part-time writer, and a seller of little odds and ends of childrenswear. I like poetry, shopping in independent shops, sewing ONLY in straight lines, lemon & ginger tea, indie rock and cake. Not necessarily all at the same time, although I do like a  challenge…

Things I do NOT like include map-reading, pot-holing, mushrooms, very pointy-toed shoes and the mis-use of the word ‘literally’.  I hate dusting too, as well as being a pretty terrible cook, and an even worse gardener.  So no domestic goddess tips here!

I started this blog to tell the story of how Sarah and I met and how we started our adventure into the world of small business. But along the way I remembered how much I enjoy writing, and the blog wandered off in its own direction.

A couple of years ago I got the chance to contribute to an amazing local arts and culture newspaper, The Bedford Clanger. I’m now associate editor, and complile the kids’ pages as well as writng some of the features, which is a huge pleasure.

I also write for the lovely Kiosk at the Park blog, and take on freelance writing projects including website copy editing, blogging, press releases, and document editing.

If you’d like to work with me, send me an email at sarahandaliceclothing@gmail.com  I’d love to hear from you. I am very friendly unless you are trying to make me eat mushrooms. Which would be unusual.

Always with the great fashion sense, no?
